All KOI courses are accredited by TEQSA (Tertiary Education and Quality Standards Agency) and consistent with the AQF (Australian Qualifications Framework). TEQSA regulates qualifications in the Australian education system.
This means that KOI is recognised as providing its students with quality education for the courses on offer in line with Australia’s Higher Education Standards.
The subjects in shaded boxes must be studied in the order they are presented as they provide pre-requisite knowledge for other subjects. The remaining subjects (core and elective) have a recommended trimester, but may be studied in other available trimester slots to suit individual student preferences, provided pre-requisites have been completed.
Students may choose any elective subjects from the list following the Course Overview, provided the subject is offered in the trimester they wish to study it and they have met the relevant pre-requisites.
The Graduate Diploma of Business is a professional graduate course which provides opportunities for applicants holding a degree in any discipline to gain broadly-based knowledge and practical skills in management at an advanced level. The Graduate Diploma provides expert insights into the core concepts and practices of business. It also develops the skills for leadership and business administration and self-directed learning, and provides opportunities for applying this knowledge to business problems and for exercising initiative in typical management roles.
The Graduate Diploma of Business has 6 core subjects and 2 electives designed to equip managers with the skills for decision-making, critical analysis, business planning and managing people which are crucial for success in business. It covers the core functions of management and business administration, finance and strategy, and the relationships between them.
To complete the Graduate Diploma of Business,
Depending on the core and elective subjects chosen, students completing the Graduate Diploma of Business can articulate into the Master of Accounting with a maximum of 5 credits for prior learning, or the Master of Professional Accounting with a maximum of 8 credits for prior learning.

POSSIBLE CAREER PATHS
Graduates of the Graduate Diploma of Business may find entry level graduate employment as an Analyst, Arts Administrator or Manager, Business Administration Manager, Contract, Program and Project Administrator, Corporate Services Manager or Management Consultant among other career paths.
PATHWAY TO FURTHER STUDIES
Graduates of the Graduate Diploma of Business are eligible to apply for admission into further postgraduate qualifications in Australia and overseas. Graduates may apply for admission to KOI’s Master of Accounting or Master of Professional Accounting with credit given for relevant studies completed within the Graduate Diploma of Business.
