    Zoe Drew is a PhD candidate at the University of Newcastle, who recently submitted her thesis examining what influences a social media influencer. She completed a Bachelor of Communication, majoring in Journalism and Public Relations with distinction in 2019 and was awarded first class Honours in 2020 for her research on Instagram food influencers. She extended this research into her doctoral studies, where she explored the creative practice of Australian lifestyle, fashion, beauty, fitness and health influencers. Zoe Drew has worked as a sessional academic at the University of Newcastle, teaching Digital and Social Media to first-year undergraduate students and at the University of Sydney, she taught Public Relations to second-year students. She has also been the Digital Manager for the Newcastle Writers Festival since 2019, and has over 8 years of experience working as a social media consultant.
