Brief Bio
Dr Hui Wu is a senior lecturer at King’s Own Institute in Sydney. Previously he was a senior lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, UNSW Sydney, where he graduated 9 PhD students as the primary supervisor, and served as the Undergraduate Coordinator of the school between 2018 and 2021. In his early career, Dr Wu was the Deputy Head of Numerical Control Institute, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In 1994, he co-founded Huazhong CNC, currently a major CNC system provider in China. Dr Wu’s research includes embedded systems, parallel and distributed systems, IoT and sensor networks, machine learning, operations research, and Business Analytics. He has published more than 50 full research papers in major international conferences and journals, and served on the program committees of more than 30 international conferences. Four of his publications were awarded Best Paper by LCN 2020, LCTES 2017, ICCD 2017, and CASES 2011. Dr Wu has over two decades of teaching experience for undergraduate and postgraduate students, and is passionate about imparting his knowledge to the younger generation.
