Dr. Shahzad's academic journey is a testament to his pursuit of excellence. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Electronic Engineering from Macquarie University, Sydney, NSW, from 2012 to 2016. His doctoral thesis, "Analysis and Design of Wideband Dielectric Resonator Antenna in Frequency and Time Domains," not only showcased his depth of understanding but also earned him recognition, ranking in the top 10% by all three examiners. Under the guidance of Prof. Karu Esselle, Dr. Shahzad demonstrated not only his technical prowess but also a commitment to pushing the boundaries of knowledge.
Dr. Shahzad's impact on education is profound, currently serving as a Sessional Lecturer at King’s Own Institute and Federation University affiliated campus in NSW since 2024 and 2018 respectively. In this role, he imparts knowledge in various domains, including Network and Security, Cloud & Enterprise Computing, Internetworking, Mobile Development Fundamentals, Database Design, Big Data and Analytics, Mobile Networks, Wireless Communication, Leadership in IT Project Management, and more.
Additionally, he contributes to MIT, NSW, as a Sessional Lecturer, Lab Tutor, and paper marker in areas such as System Administration & Management, Enterprise Cyber Security & Management, Overview of Networking, Computer Forensics, and various IT-related subjects. His tenure at Macquarie University saw him as a Lab Tutor and paper marker, actively engaging students in Professional Practice, Engineering Practice, Signals & Systems, and Data Communication.
In his earlier career, Dr. Shahzad served as a Lecturer at the University of Engineering & Technology, Taxila, Pakistan, teaching subjects ranging from Signals & Systems to Microwave Communication and Wireless Communication.
Dr. Shahzad’s commitment to professional development is evident through his diverse skill set and certifications. He possesses hands-on experience with tools like SPSS, R, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, Python, and more. Certified as a Professional Engineer (Telecommunication Network Engineer) by ENGINEERS AUSTRALIA in October 2015. He continually upgrades his skills and knowledge.

From SPSS to Microsoft Azure, he has hands-on experience with various tools. He holds certifications in presentation skills, work still instruction, and is a Certified Professional Engineer.
