Brief Bio

Sayma obtained her PhD in Economics from Western Sydney University in 2008. She also holds a Master of Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Economics from the Australian National University. She has published internationally, including in the Journal of Asia and the Pacific Economy. Sayma has been teaching at Macquarie Business School, Macquarie University, since February 2012. She brings extensive teaching experience both within Australia and internationally. In Australia, she has taught at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Western Sydney University. Internationally, she has taught at Yanbu University in Saudi Arabia and the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh.
