    Dr. Xin Gu is a full-time lecturer at King's Own Institute in Sydney. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Information Science with Honours from Massey University in 2005 and achieved her PhD (PhD by publication) in 2017 at the University of Newcastle, Australia. Prior to her career in academia, Xin accumulated over a decade of industry experience, working as a software developer, a senior software developer, and later progressing to the role of technical manager in both New Zealand and Australia.

    With a strong foundation in programming, Dr. Xin Gu specializes in the research and development of complex social systems' modeling and simulation. Her diverse research interests span programming, data analytics, web technology, machine learning, and agent-based modeling and simulation. Driven by a passion for advancing knowledge in these areas, she brings a unique blend of practical experience and academic expertise to her teaching and research endeavors.
