Brief Bio
Dr Gazi Farid Hossain is the Head of Business and Management Program, and Director of MBA Program at King's Own Institute, Sydney. Previously Dr Hossain taught at the Central Queensland University (CQU) Sydney campus and Newcastle Business School, the University of Newcastle, Australia. He also taught at the Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET), Gazipur, Bangladesh. After spending over seven years in DUET,
Dr Hossain moved to Australia to attend University of New England (UNE), NSW, Australia gaining his both Master of Business (MBus) with dissertation and Master of Commerce (Accounting & Finance). He then moved to Newcastle Business School, the University of Newcastle to conduct a research on Voluntary Employee turnover towards a PhD degree. He obtained both Bachelor of Business Studies (with Honours) and Masters of Business Studies (MBS) degrees from Islamic University, Kushtia, Bangladesh. Dr Hossain’s research interest in the area of Human Resource Management (HRM) with a special emphasis on employee turnover, Application of multiple HR practices (Bundle or System HR practices), Voluntary employee turnover, Employee behaviour, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), knowledge sharing, and Operation Research, and application of management theories. Under Dr Hossain's principal supervision five (5) Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students graduated in Australia.
