Brief Bio
Dr Farzaneh Mayabadi is the Head of Program for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Director of Learning Skills Centre at King’s Own Institute. With experience teaching English as a Second/Foreign language in Australia, India, and Iran, She has developed a comprehensive understanding of language acquisition and the challenges faced by non-native speakers, which allows her to effectively design and implement TESOL programs. She has also taught various postgraduate and TESOL-related subjects at the University of Wollongong, the University of New South Wales, and King’s Own Institute
Farzaneh is extensively involved in various committees and boards at KOI. She serves as the Chair of the TESOL Course Advisory Committee, where her expertise is utilised to shape and enhance the TESOL program. As a member of the Academic Board, she actively engages in the development and implementation of academic policies and strategies. She is also a member of the Student Engagement Committee and the Learning and Teaching Committee, contributing to a rewarding educational experience for students at KOI.
