Brief Bio
Dr Sweta Thakur is the Head of School, School of IT and IS at King’s Own Institute. She received her PhD degree in 2010 in Computer Science and Engineering focussed in Digital Image Processing and Pattern Recognition. She has done her Master’s in Computer Science and Engineering and a Bachelor degree in Computer Technology. She worked as a Senior Lecturer and an Assistant Professor in Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology, and has more than two decades of teaching experience overseas and in Australia for undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is actively engaged in research and her research areas of interest are Digital Image Processing, Medical Imaging, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, IoT and Blockchain, Higher Education. She has published many international journals, conference papers and book chapters as well in the field of IT and CSE. She is also involved in collaborative research projects in the fields of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Teaching and Learning with other Universities and higher education providers in Australia. She is a member of IEEE, ACS, HERDSA. She is representing KOI for ACEN and CAULLT.
